The original 1991 Impel Marvel card enhanced with 163 individual pieces of adhesive vinyl in 7 colors applied over the original artwork to give it the appearance of a modern product.
The idea behind my “90’s Update” series was to take the original 1990 & 1991 cards (which most collectors love) and reimagine them as if they were created in the past few years. This meant either strategically applying holographic laminate and foils, updating the character’s appearance to resemble the modern movie versions, or applying a portrait directly over the original artwork.
All of these designs were done in a “small batch” of just 10 cards each.
